London duo ZENA, formed by keyboardist-producer Yohan Kebede and bassist-producer Menelik Mulugeta Claffey, brings a fresh take on Ethio-jazz with a distinctly London edge. Rooted in Ethiopian musical traditions, their sound blends Ethio-jazz with alternative R&B, trip-hop, dub and psychedelic influences. Mystical, soulful and unorthodox, ZENA is building a new legacy from the sounds of both Ethiopia and London.
