Sad vocals piled up on a phone, crashes, summers hunted down in the fall, goodbyes and
farewells, and above all, an urgency: to turn all these ramblings into an album. For the first time, it is as honest, direct, and profound as if to fully embrace the distortions of the heart. OUI FUTUR is a bold pop, in both French and Spanish, filled with a dark frenzy. With this album, the Parisian duo Ojos follows in the footsteps of the greatest alternative pop artists. Ojos has
a sense of words and the power of sound. Their eyes as witnesses of the world (“Ojos” means “eyes” in Spanish), their hearts as screens for the most impenetrable feelings. After two EPs released in 2021 and 2023 and a hundred shows, Ojos – Élodie Charmensat and Hadrien Perretant – successfully showcase their talents as producers to present an album that explores the transition to adulthood, love and its impurities, and emancipation. Like a fierce M.I.A., a
fiery Noga Erez, or a dark Billie Eilish.
