Natasha Pirard delves deep into the realm of sound, exploring its profound effects on us and its political dimensions. Her sensitivity to everyday noise, evident in her debut release "Dream Cycles" for DEEWEE, reflects her fascination with cyclical time. The eight-part musical journey unfolds over 120 minutes, evolving from basic to intricate sounds. Pirard's journey began with a musical epiphany during a Steve Reich performance in 2017, prompting her to pursue musicology in Ghent. Rather than adhering to classical norms, she was drawn to experimental music, a passion she nurtured with DEEWEE's support. "Dream Cycles" embodies her ever-evolving sonic experimentation, inviting listeners to explore its shifting landscapes freely.
