Rotterdam's Library Card is a band of stark contrasts, embodying a tight-knit unit of four distinct individuals. Formed in 2021, they draw inspiration from post-punk, art-rock, and poetry, reflecting the uncertainty of their inception in their urgent, propulsive songwriting. Despite Rotterdam's rich guitar music scene, Library Card stands out, led by Lot van Teylingen's dynamic spoken word. Each member — Emre Karayalçin (drums), Kat Kalkman (bass), and Mitchell Quitz (guitar) — contributes to Library Card in unique ways, defying the notion of being mere cogs in a machine. They've quickly gained popularity, turning unreleased tracks into fan favourites and securing impressive gigs, including supporting Sports Team and headlining Left of the Dial. Their energetic performances have captivated audiences not only in the Netherlands but also in Germany, France, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
