With one leg, Lézard stands in the David Byrnian era, with the other in the cool-blooded underground post-punk scene of the 80s. It's usually the chameleon that changes color, not just any lizard, but Lézard defies those laws of nature. Frontman Neil Claes, accompanied by four formidable musicians, delivers a colorful and multi-layered set at a rising and falling tempo, incorporating influences from XTC, Talking Heads, and contemporary post-punk acts without holding back. The geometric and danceable sound of their music is complemented by projections of digitally processed analog images, creating a thunderous and energetic Gesamtkunstwerk.
